Atemporalidades Refractadas (2017)

Format: Three-channel video installation
Venue: La Casa Cultural Heredia Alfredo González Flores, Sa

Extending the contemplative practice developed during temple studies into physical movement, 'Atemporalidades Refractadas' translates walking meditation into a three-channel synchronized installation. By isolating first-person footage of feet traversing cobblestone, pavement, and tile in Costa Rica, the work examines somatic rhythm and mindfulness in motion.

Four vertical photos of feet and streets from different cities.
A man walks past a mural while practicing walking meditation.
Step-by-step instructions for meditation walking practice with a video link.
View of people walking in a historic stone street in Barcelona.
View of Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge from a walking path.
